Our Co-Founder: Mammad Mahmoodi
Mammad Mahmoodi is an economist, community builder, and tech entrepreneur based in New York City. He co-founded Ondamove, a platform connecting users to local services and events. He co-founded and served as the Executive Director at Open Data Science Inc., the world’s largest AI and data science global conference company that is a foundation in the world of AI.
In the tech world, Mammad also developed the ODSC X AI app, helping users navigate sessions and connect in real time.
He’s also the co-founder of EVLovesNYC, a volunteer-driven non-profit that began during the pandemic to support the other food insecurity nonprofits by providing meals to those in need across NYC. What started as an emergency response grew into a vibrant, collaborative mutual aid network serving hundreds of thousands in NYC. EVLovesNYC started in food but expanded to immigration, housing, basic necessities and education too.
His work has been featured in the New York Times, ABC News, CBS news, TIME Magazine, Forbes and numerous other outlets underscoring his unique blend of social impact and technological innovation. He also has served as a mentor on multiple tech incubators as well as teaching Entrepreneurship at NYU Stern Business School.
GoodConnect is a natural extension of his life’s work—formalizing years of informal mentorship and support he’s provided to individuals with missions to do good. With his network of changemakers, experience across sectors, and deep commitment to community, Mammad is building the support system he wishes existed when he first started his own non-profit.
